MyParent Cafe empowers members to explore, pin, subscribe, support, and engage with as many Cafe communities as they like. If you’d like to start and host a specialty-topic Cafe, learn more and get started on our Cafes page.
Villages - Major Vertical Categories
Villages are broad vertical categories of Cafes—think of them as chapter headings that help us promote the growth of vibrant Cafe communities. These Villages focus on the big moments in life—the ones we’re least prepared for, but where getting it right matters most.
Current Village categories include:
Upcoming Village expansions:
We have many more ideas, but we’ll grow where our members take us!
From conception to college and beyond, MyParent Cafe helps parents find their village—one Village Vertical and one community Cafe at a time.

We are looking for PIONEER NATIONAL BARISTAS to lead the expansion path and growth of our villages. We think this is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right person who is passionate about growing their community of members and PERKS.
Contact us with your proposed Village. Unlike other platforms, our emphasis on quality means that we are taking a 'master planned community' approach to avoid content deserts and unmet needs.
Please join the Pioneer Program by submitting your interest along with your Village requests.
Yes, in time. We've heard demand for a village dedicated to people who are just thinking about being a parent but are worried and want to connect with others who know what it's like. The pre-natal and year 1 communities are all in need of connection as new parents struggle to 'figure it out'. We've heard loud and clear that the childcare village is needed. We've also heard the need for single/divorced parents and grieving parent villages. The professional parent 'balance' community has been vocally supportive. These all fit our 'underserved with high-needs communities first' construction plans. At the other end of the spectrum, we've also heard from parents who have college bound children, are managing child & eldercare simultaneously or who find themselves as grandparents and are looking for a community to think through how to best engage with their new roles.
We also see expansion into financial, educational, nutritional and legal villages over time. With so many unique journeys and needs to be met, we're just getting started. As a member led organization, we'll prioritize what our members want the most.
These are member driven communities committed to support. While insights and humor is encouraged, intentional trolling or hurtful sarcasm will not be tolerated. Upvoting and downvoting by the community, AI flagging of potentially inappropriate content and Barista human moderation helps to ensure we preserve a positive membership experience. Each village is a dedicated community channel allowing sub-threads, coupled with an AI Coparent that is available 24/7 to answer questions. Village Baristas engage from time to time to moderate and point members in the right direction. Members get to ask questions, get answers, feel supported and then work with others to access solutions.
During the PIONEER PROGRAM, all villages are US National in scope. You can add local tags to your questions to help others connect and engage with your needs. We will in time open micro villages under the National categories.
For our international parents, please feel free to join now to secure your 3 yr free membership under the PIONEER PROGRAM. If you have something decidedly international to ask or add, you'll be able to add context tags to help others engage. Our initial testing has confirmed that the international perspectives are very welcome given that parenthood concerns do not have a national border. That being said, we plan to divide our NATIONAL Villages into International villages as we expand. There are billions of parents in need of support!
